  1. Anyone know when Gennifer and Josh are expecting their first child?

    • When Ginny appeared on Jimmy Kimmel a couple of weeks ago she mentioned that their families would be back in town(after being in town for their wedding on April 12th) in a couple of weeks in anticipation of the birth, so I’d imagination the baby is due any day now.

  2. I really enjoyed the episode, but I was a little bummed because I could have sworn they said last week that this week would be the 2 hour finale. I was all set to have a 2 hour OUAT blowout! Oh well, it was good, but I did find Dorothy gratuitous. I would rather they’d just left her out of it. The finale should be good – looking forward to it even though it means the long dry spell afterward – lol!

    • I agree with you about being bummed out but for a couple of different reasons. I was so very much looking forward to Emma wielding that magic of hers. They built it up, built it up, built it up, then…fizzle.
These guys really need to learn how to put on a good fight scene, it would really help, imho.
The purveyor of light magic should not have been Regina. She is still so far in the dark she should have never been allowed to beat Zelena. I didn’t buy that for a second, and the entire fight scene seemed anticlimactic — disappointed is the best feeling I can come up with.
Rumpel’s betrayal to Belle was a good twist.
Was that smirk on Regina’s face when she put Zelena’s pendant in her vault a smirk of evil because she finally got to destroy somebody (everyone remember that?), or was it because she was proud of herself for making the right choice? Either way, great acting skills of Lana P. because it left me wondering. Go Lana with your bad self!! :)

  3. I have very mixed feelings about this episode. I wanted to love it but parts of it just didn’t measure up for me. The Oz scenes in particular missed the mark IMO.

I agree with Kris in regard to Dorothy. Aside form reviving Zelena’s envious nature, what purpose did the character serve? The writers could have had Zelena return to her wicked ways without throwing the girl from Kansas into the mix, and the whole sister witches/prophecy plot could have been written in a more interesting way. I also think I’ve been spoiled by the movie version of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ because without the munchkins, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, the Cowardly Lion and Toto this rendering of Dorothy Gale seemed pointless. Now you see her, now you don’t—–yawn.

As usual I found some of the episode a bit rushed and thought they could have spent more time focusing on the emotional impact of the events as they happened. For instance, when David went rushing off to save the new baby and poor Mary Margaret was left alone(again) after just giving birth, they could have had Archie, Granny, or one of the dwarves there to reassure her or just keep her company. A reassuring word from David as he ran off would have been nice too. Thankfully we got to see the Charming family reunited at the end but I’d be curious to know if there was a deleted scene somewhere in there. I also have a guess as the the baby’s name——as Regina was the one to ultimately neutralize Zelena allowing David to retrieve the boy, I think the Charmings will honor the memory of her true love, Daniel. I’ve heard viewers suggest Graham or James but if I were naming the baby I’d go with Daniel.

Lastly, I agree that Emma losing her powers and thus not being the one to defeat Zelena was a bit of a let down, but I also think that the confrontation scene in which the group confronted her and Regina overpowered her was one of the best of the episode. But thanks to Rumple is it seems as if this Wicked Witch is indestructible after all. If Zelena did survive in some form perhaps Emma will get another crack at her.

  4. I get what you’re saying about Emma’s magic, Riles, but I can’t help it….I love Regina! I was so glad she was the one (first) to kick that B’s arse, and then Rumple got his chance, and I was glad to see that, too. They were the two I was most hoping would get a shot at her, but it looks like it’s all leading to Emma truly being the one to finally defeat her.

I also agree that this show needs to learn how to put on a good fight, though. It really does feel like a let down when it’s just a toss here and a toss there, little bit of electricity, and we’re done. I want a really epic fight – lol!

And, yes, I caught that smirk. I also say good for you Lana, because I really don’t know where they are going with that – should be interesting! :)

  5. Everybody remember, if you ever have to go to battle for family, friends and country and everybody and everything is counting on you, make sure you bring your single biggest vulnerability with you.
    uh, wait a second….

  6. if white magic is stronger than dark magic why can’t the white witches defeat Selena?

  7. Regina was the right person to defeat Zelena. This has always been about her, the latter and their mother. To have most of this story arc revolved around Regina’s conflict with Zelena and have Emma defeat the latter would not have made sense dramatically.
